I should be able to squeeze in somewhere hopefully 🙏

There is also the area in front of pitch and putt.... do motorhomes still park there or is it blocked off?

You could always give Frank a call to see if he had space.

We spent two nights in the Quanns around a month back mid week and plenty of parking each night.
Very handy for the greenway,

Funny thing was the quanns that the council have invested money & time in aswell as the people that lobbied for it had space available 5 pitches free one night and 4 free next night,
3 parked at the lookout and 3 more parked opposite side of the road.......2 of the 3 that were parked across the road than drove over next morning to the Quanns and serviced the mh before driving away, makes ya wonder why they wouldnt pay the tenner to support the new Aires but glad to use the services for free next morning

Nothing new there Mad Max, wasters not willing to pay their way but willing to take advantage of services being paid for by others.

I was wondering what the setup there was John, isn't there a car park beyond the new parking spaces where Motorhomes and caravans parked, is it free to park there when the new spaces are full or is there a barrier now on that car park

@CHAUSSON im not sure to be honest,
I didnt see any barriers on our viait, there was 1 caravan over in the far corner by the pitch n putt but didnt seem to bother anybody that I seen,
Its the pay & display system the same as Cobh,

Good to hear that John....I should be ok for a space at the Aire so. Amazing how some Motorhome owners won't pay for the privilege of using it???... looking forward to it now 😀

Same again today 😠
Arrived at midday there were four free spaces and one plonker parallel parked across four car spaces on the opposite side of the road.
It's little wonder we get bad press 🙄

Yes we arrived here this evening, we got the second last parking bay in the new Aire, yet there was Motorhomes parked all over the place, I wouldn’t be as annoyed if the Aire was full. There are a hell of a lot of Motorhomes parked all over the town tonight. We had a meal and a couple pints in the Anchor restaurant/Bar tonight, all the restaurants along that strip were very busy

The flip side to that Pat is if the others had used the aires as they were supposed to you wouldnt have a safe official parking spot tonight as all the parking spaces would have been filled..........every cloud has a silver lining

But i feel your frustration......as we speak im looking at 2 rental motorhomes parked across 5 spaces each but abosulutly no need for it

Judging by the amount of manouvers that were used in trying to the the mh half lined up Martin i wouldnt waste the gobshite stickers on these lads, the titanic would have lined up easier o.O

Well...we arrived in Dungarvan at 9.45 tonight...we were greeted by Pat and Maria..... Mirela spotted them immediately. The Aire is full and we are parked opposite but not on any official car parking spaces...there is also a couple of other vans in our situation. I seen the chap taking up the 4 car parking spaces on our way in. My first thought for us was to park in pitch n putt carpark beside us but there sounds to be someone running a genny by the sounds of it so glad now we didn't. Anyway...great to be here...looking forward to chatting to some other Craic members parked up here also! .... Even though we are not in an official Aire parking space I will be paying for my stay as we are glad of the facility 👍

A man's body was recovered from Dungarvan Harbour, Co Waterford, early this morning following an sea-and-air search.
Gardaí do not suspect foul play was involved in the drowning.

Great also to meet yourself and Mirela, John. Last time we met was at the Norebrook lounge nye meet in 2019. Yesterday was the first time I found a bit of normality seeping back. Looking forward to catching up with yourself and Colin later. Very sad to hear the outcome of the rescue, may he rest in peace.🙏

I was there the August bank holiday weekend. Our "cousins" were on tour, 2 campervans and 2 tents, left shortly after paying my tenner and went to the lookout. The Gardai dropped of 4 young "cousins" on the Nonday morning and the rest left the area shortly after. Met them 2 days later in Youghal so left there and went to Cobh.
