The Get Away

We have recently opened our small, family run Motorhome/Campervan site. After 4 years of hard work, finally we have managed to turn the old horse fields into a unique, intimate, Eco-Park. We boast stunning walking and cycling routes, accessible straight from our gate.
The Getaway is well located with Dungarvan less than a 10-minute drive away and The Waterford Greenway, The Comeragh Mountains and many surrounding Beaches, as well as some beautiful local towns and villages, also just a short driving distance.
Although we describe ourselves as a “Rural Camping Retreat”, we are far from isolated. Our local Pub, Bridgie Terries, is 5 min drive (or 20 min cycle). 3 Takeaways deliver food to us and there is a Taxi service available for Dungarvan and the pub etc.
Please note we do not take Tents or Caravans.
Facilities
● We provide 15 Hardstanding Bays (4.5M x 9M with grass adjacent)
● All bays have 16-amp Electric Hook Up.
● There are plenty of Freshwater Points on site (Mountain Spring Water)
● At The Service Bay we offer Grey Water Disposal and a Chemical Disposal Point and we have Rubbish Recycling bins.
● There is a unisex Toilet. (NB: A shower unit is being added asap.)
● We have a small Camper’s Kitchen in The Nook and it is also a place for people to gather with seating inside and out.
● We allow up to 2 well behaved Dogs. There is a Dog Run where your dog can be let off. (Dogs must be kept on leads at all times when not in the run)
We currently have an introductory offer to mark our recent opening!
● Unit and up to 2 people - €20
● Extra person (any age) - €3.50
● Electric Hook Up - €3.50
● Green Toilet Chemical - €2
● Pup tents & Awnings - Free
● Dogs – Free

It looks to be a cracking site from the photos, price also looks good.
Will take note of that for the future.

That looks a great spot... will definitely use it. If only we had more forward thinking people to see potential in motorhome tourism.

He refers to it as a 'campsite', from conversations with Hillary I was under the impression her plans were for the provision of Motorhome Parking. There is a difference, particularly to a planning officer. A campsite is subject to the grant of a licence under Section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948

Hilary has advised me to call it a campsite on the app as I debated it with her.

I would think that is the next faze, as there is already a campers kitchen and an indication of where spaces are going to be removed for the toiket block.
so long as She keeps the Aire, there is plenty of room for campers.

It's not an Aire and it's not really a campsite, which one it is closer too is open to interpretation, but there is no real category for it. No caravans or tents. But more than an Aire.

Something different, something unique, something special, can't wait to visit.

It's probably an Irish answer to the problem of what do people in day vans do, if they don't want to go home everynight. and that in its self would be a good development.

looks lovely and looking forward to visiting too, something similar to the hub, not half the amenities, twice the price, they should seriously think hard about raising that introductory price though. That's just my twopence.
