I see many motorhomes have TV and Satellite systems fitted already. Are they all 12 volt or are some mains? I just wonder if I should ask when viewing as I do not want to use mains electric or a generator.

Should all be 12v but depends also on age of van and who fitted it. Avtex will be 12v or 240v and there are other dual voltage sets. If they have sat dish system etc installed it will be a cert they have a 12v TV but as with anything just ask the seller to be sure to be sure. :-)

All satellite Systems run on 12v . The Roadpro dome just requires the coax cable run from the receiver to the Dome system on the roof, whereas the KVH Trac Vision will require a data cable as well as the coax ,but both run on 12v power. There are also crank up dish systems that require no power whatsoever.
