Harbour Regeneration
Unfortunately the proposed sale of the harbour lands did not complete and M&EA are liaising with NI Tourist Board and local representatives, considering the best options to take this forward.
Enhancements this year
In the interim, M&EA remain committed to the regeneration of Glenarm village, utilising the harbour lands as a tourism focus point to create sustainable employment and increased footfall within the village. This year will see the development of a new jetty and pontoons within the harbour itself. In addition the Council are currently exploring interim measures for this year to create space/facilities for motor homes in the harbour car parks.
Glenarm Castle was successful in its bid to purchase the former school site on Straidkilly Road. The plans include retaining the playing field area for public use keeping this important green area as a community space

Great! It would be really sad to think it'll be gone.

Havnt been up since last September but still amazed at motor homers/ camper vanners behaveior, , the toilet block is being totally renovated so portaloos are installed over at the marina , every toilet has a big sign up, no motor home cassette to be emptied in this portaloo but cool as you like people still walking in in even when the cleaning lady was there emptied full cassettes in front of her ,disgraceful she says and the ignorant remarks you have to listen to of them is bad also, it’s been said on here that we’re our own worst enemy, I have to agree 😣
