Firstly ........a happy new year to all

I am enquiring as to getting two female beagles to Leeds. I have tried couriers and while they are helpful..........440e is a lot of money.....diesel.......ferries tickets.......to transport two small dogs........or am I being naive.

If anyone can supply an alternative I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Regards.

the way to judge it is look at the cost of your travel, ferry tickets, petrol/diesel, time off work, food/accomodation etc. and if a company is charging €440 could you do it for less yourself. Moving animals no matter what size is specialised and the only cheap way to do it is find someone who is going that way to take them for you.

Biffo,

Where are you? I could maybe get them transported this weekend for half that price, but you would need to bring them to me.

Thanks for the offer Ally........I should have been more precise in my request. I don't need them in Leeds till end of august. My sister in law lives in Harrogate and will pick them up. We are doing the Camino walk and as it will take five weeks we don't want to kennel them. We need them back in Dublin for collection after the walk.I would have no hesitation in bringing them to Harrogate as I love the place .......but time restrictions means I can't do this, hence the need to have them transported. As we are on a budget 400e is a big hole in it.

So back to the drawing board.  🇧🇭

Biffo,

Ahh ok :)

I still know someone that will do it, he transports poultry back and forward for a reasonable price and I have been told he will transport dogs also. I'll get back to you with details.
