This requirement has existed for years and years, it's just making the news because covid is impacting first world countries.
There's plenty of countries out there that require specific vaccinations for things first world countries give for granted or don't even know they exist.
Try to go to some south american countires, india or africa... you will require some mandatory vaccine or even specific tests. So definitely not anything new and I totally see it being a new thing going forward.
And if it open things up, I'm all for it although at this pace it looks like I'll get the jab around 2045.
