I’m a little surprised to see a headline about Pontins issuing a blacklist of surnames to its staff, i.e. not to be admitted as guests. If a reputable holiday company was to discriminate in this day and age as to who was a desirable guest and who was not, you would think something more subtle the a list would be at play.

Anyway, having had a look through it, I couldn’t help but compile my own listing of possible would-be rejections.

Tennis players Pat Cash & Jimmy Connors
International rugby players Paul O’Connell and Peter O’Mahoney
Snooker Player Ken O’Doherty
Film directors Danny Boyle, Jim and Peter Sheridan
Actor, presenter Simon Delaney
Rock stars Liam & Noel Gallagher
U2 manager Paul McGuiness
Martial artist, philosopher and movie legend Bruce Lee

Yes I saw theList on another forum and thought wow that’s not right. Unbelievable in this day and age, how the hell can you judge a person by the name they were born with.

I came across it in Scotland a few years ago we tried to book into a site (can't remember the name of the town) but it was East of Inverness and had a big airforce base, when they saw the Irish reg they made it very difficult to book in, so much so that we left

Just seen "the list" wish I had seen a lot earlier Maureen was a McGuiness I could have had a week or two out on remand. (You all have to promise not to tell otherwise I will be spending a lot of time on the "Naughty step")
