If you had a choice of extra information on the Motorhome parking Ireland app what would it be?

For example:

washing machines at garages - 50% important

water taps - 70%

calor gas bottles - 90%

Can you answer in that format please and your idea's for other information added to the Motorhome Parking Ireland app https://motorhomeparkingireland.com would be MOST appreciated :D

We are promising nothing at this point, and obviously we can't add everything, but our new design has made it possible for more information.

These would be switched off by default, you turn them on when needed, in the app.

Quote by the fat controller

Water tap 90%
Black waste 80%
Grey waste 30%

Calor 40%
Restaurants 40%

If I think of anything else I will amend it

Thanks.

I have scored two out as those are two we already include on each 'place' , maybe I didn't explain right, aiming at extra's. What else would you like to see and it's importance?

Another category - overall.

I would place wastewater emptying facilities at the top of the list as very important, 100%
Next would be freshwater tap a close second, 80%
Cassette emptying points at 60%, there are plenty of public toilets which can be used.

There is already an app for finding washing machines

Can you elaborate? Where would you empty Grey waste that isn't already official Motorhome Parking and already on the app? or into a gully/sewer.

P.S which laundry one do you mean?

I think we're at crossed purposes.
Info on official places to empty grey wastewater would be my option of info on the app as they are as scarce as hen's teeth.
As for laundries, isn't there a link to the app for THIS already on MHC

Yes, I'm confuzzled. 😂
The grey emptying official points for Motorhome owners are already on there. As you say, more would be better, but I can't think what I would add 🤔

As for the laundry, yes it's on the website, but it's not an app I don't think must have another look, just a Google map. Doesn't have the same functionality, but is probably sufficient for all that it needs. Don't really need reviews on laundry machines :grin

Calor already has a map also so maybe no need for that.

We will be adding all dealers and workshops.

I think the app is nice & uncluttered with a very neat user interface.
Less is more in some cases.

Yes, I've always said that, however these extras would be defaulted as OFF. You'd need to enable them as you need them.

But maybe we need very little more and what's there is maybe enough categories.

All food for thought 😁

Maybe just a tab somewhere on the app with “useful links” to washing machines, calor gas etc that already has its own map/website. A list of motorhome capable mechanics might be useful if you find yourself in an emergency situation away from home.

Google would probably handle that along with restaurants though so they would be towards the bottom of my list. Top would be grey water then fresh as like others as I have 2 cassettes so black water would be 3rd. Maybe need to distinguish between grey water disposal at an aire and somewhere that has it that is not a stopover like a petrol station? All very minor really as the app already has 95% of what you need I think and Google search would do the rest.

For Laundries, CLICK HERE could it be added to the app as a link or with the consent of Revolution be added as a map layer.

What about a tab or a way to search for locations that has EHU available. It would be handy when looking for a place to go in the winter time or when it's cold.

These will be added, campsites will have options.....have a look at the plans.

Have enough information from you guys, thanks for the input. 👍

We'll creat a separate page on the app with links to other maps like we have on our website.

Thanks.
