It finally happened.

I vowed I never would. I resisted all temptation. I had a few close shaves but managed to stay strong. Even over Christmas, when safely in the company of younger off-spring, I never faltered. It wasn't easy, but I knew I could hold firm.
And then it happened. Out of the blue, when I was least expecting it. Just a normal day, and what's worse, during a normal conversation with my wife.
No excuses, no mitigating factors...it just came out, and all was lost.

I ..... I started a sentence with 'So, basically.....'

Well holy God Tony what's become of you. Watching too much TV. I don't know where the saying began but I hate the sight of it myself. But never fear, we all make mistakes. You can start afresh again. Good on Ya.
