2.8 JTD no heat

Our 2003 2.8 JTD has no heat going into the footwell, I seen a fix for this on the internet ages ago but can't find it again. As far as I have read they are all the same?

Anyone know how to fix this? where to cut the hole or what to do?

The heating in the van is generally not that great, it has to be at maximum to make it toasty.

My 2008 160 multijet is the same Ally ,heat has to be turned up full and the blower on to max setting as well before you could call it warm. 🇧🇭

Stuff it I am going to wear a coat.

Seen loads of info on the heater being crap in the footwell, especially the passeneger side but can't find the fix I seen, it involved simply cutting a hole somewhere.

I'll maybe have a go myself. :o

One tip appeared in MMM october issue page 201.It involved removing the plastic duct between dashboard and floor and cutting a hole on passenger side to match drivers side.I did this on my citroen relay, didnt make much difference.Just a lack of hot air overall.

Thanks Vino I will have a look at that. But to start with, I don't think I have much heat coming out of the drivers side if any at all never mind the passenger side. As you say there is a just a lack of hot air overall.

I have been told by another Motorhomer who had the same problem to slide a piece of flat cardboard down the front of the radiator in the inside of the front panel to restrict the airflow through the vehicle radiator. Make sure you cut the cardboard smaller than the radiator as the radiator needs a certain amount of air passing through it to keep it cool. A vast difference i am told. Here,s hoping

Cheers.

Not unlike what Ron (dotron) has done, he has put white plastic over the bottom vent holes in the bumper.
