I used the online form for cancelling, filled it in for five days in a row before they eventually called back.
The 30 days notice of cancellation does not start until they call you back, not when you fill in the form, I imagine it's same of you try ringing and holding for them, so there's no incentive for them to deal with it quickly.
Eventually cancellation went through, due to finish 21 of this month. Got an emailed bill last week for service from 21st on, will have to contact the bank to make sure their direct debit doesn't go through, no point contacting Eir about it.
