Ballyhoura Season Finale?

Not finally decided yet, but our next week away might be the last of the season... hopefully not though.
We're thinking of somewhere different but want to get it right just in case.
Any thoughts on the Ballyhoura site? We're looking for somewhere peaceful with pleasant surroundings and easy access to good walks.
Some of the online descriptions give the impression that it's a high-walled tarmac yard, and any gallery pics aren't of the site itself.
Current prices also appreciated.

I always thought that the motorhome season was from 00:01 on Jan 1st to 24:00 on Dec 30th. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. :-) :-)

Are you talking about the Henry Mccarthys pub in Kilfinane. We stayed there and left our thoughts on the post below. I don't know how to quote a post so this is a copy and paste....

Right, an update
Went to Kilfinnane friday night.Had to be back saturday night so 24 hours of "freedom"
Arrived at the aire and parked up. Henry was away but met his son, lovely lad, and paid.
Headed off to the play but stopped on the way for "one" in Shaughnessys .
Nice fire and cosy pub
The plays were on in the former protestant church. Great job done there with excellent lighting and heating.
Back to a pub called the dugout and met the cast, very nice people.
Saturday, walked around Kilfinnane. There is a well stocked Centra shop on the main street.
SERIOUSLY,of all the places we have been in Ireland and abroad, Kilfinnane is at the top of the MOST friendly places we have ever been.
Everyone said hello, and I mean everyone. We really felt welcome here.
Back to camper and headed to the Ballyhoura trails beyond Ardpatrick.(no height barrier at carpark)
5€ to park but we walked on the trails for 3 hours and loved it.The nice day helped.
Back to kilfinnane and had dinner in "mollys" restaurant.10€ a head for a main course.lovely
Then we headed home.24 hours but got loads in.
Will definitely go back

Have you the parking app, there must be a dozen reviews on it.
