Heads up all. Pulled up here today - told place packed with Irish cars because of staycations. There was a space where we could have parked beside EHU point but the man there was not very friendly and would not let us stay.

If this is an Aire what gave this person the right to make you feel unwelcome?

Was it another camper or a lad in a car that would not let you stay?

An Aires is a designated motorhome stop over,if you are in a motorhome and confirming to the rules of that Aires nobody has the authority to move you on.

I don't know if its an aire as such,as far as i know its a car park that the people that rent the boats can leave their cars. Carrick craft only allow campers to park their.

We try to keep up to date on the App , but this year is not a normal year so we all have to accept small to major changes and there's nothing anyone can do about this

Yes indeed it is the yard of Carrick Craft and they have parking for motorhomes with EHU and toilet facilities. It is on the app, but as mentioned, this year is not normal and, instead of Germans who fly in and rent boats, Irish people are renting, and parking their cars, which has made the yard not motorhome friendly. I do understand this - it was the manner of the man, even though there was a space with EHU availabke, that put me off.

Just wanted to let members know that the facility may not be available to motorhomes this season. Might save a wasted journey 🙂

But who was this Man and what was his function in the yard?

He was in overalls and was in the big work shed, so I'm presuming an owner or employee.
