The App have removed the spots and looks like the locals adding their reviews to local area (Thurso) telling campervans and tents not to park quote :- for Thurso Harbour 2 car parks 2 quotes.
"There is a 'no overnight camping sign' here!!! Campervans and tents overfill the one bin which only gets emptied once a week, so bags left lying beside it, which is not good!!! Camervans think they can park wherever they want, often blocking areas where locals walk their dogs!!"
"Such a shame to see a beautiful are area being destroyed by campervans getting stuck in grass where they should not be going on! Also tents being pitched wherever they want and leave so much mess - where do they do the toilet? The locals know as have seen the evidence left behind!!!!! Walkways being blocked with tents and vans - not respect for the locals!!!"
Personally have never done the NC500 and have no intention of doing it but i do know from when i was a member of the UK,Wildcamping crew that it was one of their favourite rolling rally haunts and now a lot of European vans. Its all due to Nicola Sturgeon
