Help with Bullfinch outdoor shower

 ·
Posted: 17.07.2020  ·  #1
I'm looking for an external shower, I like the look of the Bullfinch one but it has 15mm (internal)outlets that I'm struggling to get fittings. I have tried Kosycampers who have the shower, but not the fittings I need to tie into my 15mm (external) flexi pipe system. I'd love to buy the shower with all the fittings I need in one place. Would I be able to buy fittings in an ordinary plumber supplier or are they specific to camper/caravans?

I'm not understanding .
15mm (internal)outlets is that the pipe size or loose nut on flex pipe.
photo please.

Sorry, cant post a picture with my phone, theres a picture of the back of the unit in this link though, and my system uses 15mm flexible water pipe with 13mm internal bore I think https://bigwhitebox.co.uk/prod…oint-grey/

This is how I done it if it's any use to you. I used 15mm fittings with an olive on the back of the Bullfinch just like you would join on to any straight copper pipe to add on two flexible tap connectors. I used a Tee piece from the supply pipes but needed a reducer to get me to the size I required. Looking at the photo the bottom of the sink is on your left with the boiler on your right. Not really difficult, drilling the hole took the most courage. Good Luck.

you need a pair of 1/2" 312s and 1/2 x1/2 BSP brass hose tails.

Just ordered in some kit from https://camperinteriors.co.uk/ to do the same job. Based in Midleton if you want to have a looksee. They had everything but messed up a small bit. Used AnPost addresspal but Camperinteriors deleted the APW code so took a week or more to get delivered as order got lost. The item at the bottom is the important bit 15mm to 12mm reducer. Have not fitted yet so can't give feed back but after much research I believe I have all the right kit. Fitting to camper that already has the 12mm piping

Find a local Plumbers Merchants and explain what you are doing, they will talk you through it and will be a lot cheaper than any camping or leisure outlet. Also if you get some bits wrong they will change them for you without any bother. A simple diagram would help them.

yes plumbing shop for the instantor fitting maybe a 317 as its an 90° elbow. and someone like Caulfield for the hose tail make sure you get a ribbed one some of the plastic are smooth and dont get a good seal.
the one on my Prooex heater blew off (very bad design fault ) when the shower head was turned off and the pump was not, the pressure blew it off. Now have to replace all the MDF doors frame work ,major winter job.
