Shower hose extension

Trying to lengthen my shower hose. It’s the one that pulls out of the tap, but it always cut off if trying to attach it to the hook on the wall. A couple of years ago the supplier added a silicon Pipe to prevent The hose kinking, the result being the shower head no longer reached to hook at all. It’s made by Argo and it a Rollerteam.

During our down time I have dismantled the sink and was hoping to replace the flexible tap tail with a longer one. It has an M8 threat that screws into the bottom of the mixer tap But the other end that screws onto the hose is not the standard 1/2” or 3/4” found on domestic taps. Seems to be close to 15mm (14.7).

Any idea where I might get a replacement flexible tail at 500mm With a non imperial fitting or something that I could fit between the existing connectors to make it longer. Help!

That looks like one of those monobloc tap/mixer connectors alright, as in link above.

Try this link , the pictures are clearer.

Thanks for the replies, orderEd one from fleabay but they sent an M10 instead of M8. 🙄The first one above seems to be a compression fitting and the second is M10. So called at the plumbers Merchant who tried the threads but they were just slightly bigger than mine. Must be a European fitting? Did try Leisure shop, no joy.

Hi Mark & Wendy, I purchased a set of good quality Bathroom Taps in France and when I went to fit them the tails were too small for the 15mm copper connection I was joining them to so I had to go to the plumbers merchants and buy two new ones. I still have the two French ones if you would like me to I can find them and give you more information, they are as I said ,brand new.

Thanks Michael, very kind offer that I may take you up on. After a night on google I found an M8 to M10 adapter that has been ordered. Also watching an M10 tap tail, 500mm long that is said to have the 15mm connector, just need to contact them to confirm. What length are your spares.

Think I can safely say, yours is bigger than mine. Story of my life.

I have now reinforced both pipes with a short piece of pvc tubing and good old Duck tape. Going to put it all back together today and see what happens. Need to get away next week regardless.

Thanks for the offer. Much appreciated. Mark
