the battery size depends on the amp hours, there are various sizes of output and physical size. I have low profile ones which I think are 100ah.

TonyS. As fat controller has already mentioned they are all different sizes and different AH . If you know what Amp Hr you are going to use I can give you the dimensions for it.

The physical size of the battery was critical for us as the height of our battery box is quite small.

I went for two 110 Elecsol's which just fit where other brands would be 100.

The highest AH battery I do is 110ah which I find suitable for most uses. What do you intend using it for as you can always fit two in parallel. Cheers Willie.

I don't think we'll use it too much, maybe an hour or 2 for the fridge per day, radio and sometimes charge a laptop/phone in the night.

It's a SWB Transit so not too much going on electricity wise but I'm limited in the space available for the battery.

We'll be driving for a few hours almost every day and probably won't be using EHU's, I'm hoping this will be sufficient to keep the battery topped up.

What would be the highest ah for the space I have available?

Questionable as to using on fridge because of heavy drain. Our fridge wont work on 12volt unless engine is running. Maybe all fridges are not the same.

Maybe gas would be better for the fridge then.. I've used it very little so it's a case of trial and error..

In the user manual it states that the fridge will use 100w when operating on 12v. Is this high?

Hi Moomat. Yes that is pretty high. Gas is the way everyone,s fridge works when your van is parked up unless you are on EHU . The dimensions of the 110ah batteries we have are 343mmL X 177mmW X 228mm H .
The only other way that you could keep your battery charged up if you were not wanting to drive every day is fit a solar panel, that way you won,t ever have to worry about your battery running down. Be sure when fitting a battery that it is a proper deep cycle Leisure Battery.
