I often use street view in advance of heading off to a new location, usually with two things in mind. The first, is there a place to park, possibly even overnight? The second, is there any nice pubs/cafes with outdoor seating under cover? That way we could likely bring the dog with us for lunch or pints.
The lack of good outdoor tables can be a problem in remote places. They shoot themselves in the foot by not providing more outdoor space. I think Covid 19 might accelerate the development of these facilities if they can stay in business.
Didn’t need street view this morning, was just imagining us getting off the ferry in Cherbourg, pulling into the Wine warehouse for 2 weeks supply, lunch in St Mere Eglise and deciding how far to go before setting up for the first night. Really going to miss it, but hopefully next year will be back to ‘normal’.
