Have been using Mer Car shampoo & polish since the 1980's. Does exactly what it says and you only need to use a capful per wash and lasts for ages.
Got our motorhome in March 2012 & have now used MER on it. Has come up fantastic. Removes black lines without effort. It took 2 days from the rooftop down.
Our 2008 van looks brand new out of showroom!
Halfords stock Mer advanced shampoo €8.49 @ 500ml & Mer polish €19.99 @ 1 ltr
Happy Polishing :-) :-) :-)

Long time since I heard MER mentioned! used to use it years ago. Might give it another bash.

Meguiars do a boat polish and wax which is supposed to give excellent results on the plastics, I have it but haven't had a dry enough perd to get polishing

Mer has always been very good for motorhomes. I use their gel for the plastics as it is less messy than some of the others.

I've always used Mer polish on the bikes cos I'm lazy. It's "easy on-easy off" gives maximum results for little effort :-)

And for times I dont have Mer, I use Pledge furniture polish... it also works a treat. 8-)

It is very easy to spend that sort of time cleaning the van.
I have spent over 9 hours on the roof alone and it wasn't too bad to start with.

It's that time of the year again. Ladder out, sleeves rolled up and away we go!
Will need sun glasses when finished. 8-)

You don't need to polish a motorhome anymore. wash it with Mudbuster rinse it with water .Spray Mudbuster liquid wax all over , leave for approx 10mins and hose it off again .Your Motorhome will be gleaming and not much elbow grease used
