countries like the Republic of Ireland.
Made me laugh when I read this bit.
So they are going to cover the place with large boulders. which is all the Council's have done to stop illegal caravan/ camping. They never inforce the LAW.
Would that statement not be refering more to the country cousins camping where they just set up beside the road.?
It was and that is what they are trying to stop also.
And I for one cannot think what effective laws that are inforce here that they are talking about.

Re: Government consults on new police powers to criminalise unauthorised encampments
Thats the problem once the Police get these new powers it'll be up to them How they use them and who on. Not good news for us for certain
Thought that myself. That's one of the reasons it's necessary to become a club.
In NI we are exempt from legislation and can hold rallies.
In RoI I am sure if you are under the banner of a legally formed club, there would be very little reason to move us.
We don't trespass on other peoples property.
In the RoI, trespass is already a criminal offence under Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994
When we PARK for a night or two we are not creating an 'encampment', unless we engage in 'camping' behaviour.
Agree.
Wasn't exactly what I was referring too
