HELP!

Can someone up north help me out?

I'm trying to buy a driver side wing for the camper, but S.Ireland is not showing as an opton for delivery on this website.

http://mac-autoteile.de/produc…inks-.html

I emailed the company last week but I haven't received a reply, so I'm thinking my request to add S.Ireland to their list of "ship to" countries is not an option for them.

Can one of you folks with a NI - UK address fill in the details and see if you can get a shipping quote for NI ?

Or better still if any of you are able to read/understand german, maybe you could help me out with the website? My german is appaling  and I'm strugging with this site even when using google webpage translator..

I need a driver side wing for a 1992 GMC (or Chevrolet) G35/G3500 Vandura.

Even thought our van is 1980, the order needs to be for a 1992 as body panels for earlier models are no longer available. (slight modification needed, no biggie)

Thanks!

Went through both sites, they both deliver to a NI address. You can get it sent to my house if you wish? and I will post it on to you if that helps.

Second cheaper site:

Shipping
Parcel € 22.00

you may already know about this service but perhaps there are some that dont.

You can get small (and not so small) items for which carriage is exortionate shipped from the US via "myUSA".

you order the item and have it shipped to the My USA office which is in the US they then bundle serveral orders together and ship them to the UK where the bundle is separated and shipped to you.

Although not always very speedy it can be very much cheaper than sending the item direct (which is some times impossible any way).

I came across the service (and there are a few like it) when I needed oil seals for an American boat trailer - the seals were like $1 each and the minimum overseas shipping cost was $50!

Raymondo,

I just wanted to thank you for making this recommendation. I ordered the wing in the US last week and arranged shipment through myUS.com as recommended by yerself. Theres a decent savings to be had over conventional means. The best quote I was able to manage beforehand was around $350usd to ship the oversize package from the US to here.

myUS.com did it for $114 (€88) and it'll be delivered to my door via DHL...

Not bad, not bad at all.... I'll be using their services again no doubt.

Thank you sir. and thanks Ally for offering to help me out with the earlier delivery...

Hardly surprising...

DHL just sent me a text message telling me the wing has arrived but is held up in my local DHL depot. Customs are looking for their pound of flesh.

feckers are looking for €33 taxes & duties on an €79 part... 😠

Ah,

I'll just swwing by there on my way home and pick it up.

I'm wondering how far will I get when I contest the 41% levy....

I cant say that I wasn't expecting it, but sher there ya go.

Ironically, it still worked out cheaper than getting the wing from Germany but our beloved customs man just made it go from a great price saving to an ok'ish price saving...

I'm just glad to have it done with now and I'll have the wing at home this evening to play with :-)

Onward and upward...
