Our travels so far.
We found out at Cobh our fridge freezer wasn’t working properly on gas, not ideal when you’re about to get a ferry to Spain. The crossing was on time and the sea was calm.3/10 stayed on the aire at Santander the aire was busy but there was a couple of empty spaces, nice park alongside good for walking.4/10 we decided to go to camping Perlora as we knew a place that could look at fridge nearby. Unfortunately their technician was on holiday at we were told to come back on 9/10 we checked this was still ok on 7/10 to be told it would now be 16/10. Not happy but fortunately Sergio at camping Perlora called an alternative repair centre who saw us on the 8/10 fixed our burner all done on warranty. I can recommend Caravanas principardo for great service near Gijón.
9/10 Aire at tapia €4. Stunning coastline here.
10/10 Now at the free aire at Foz alongside the estuary
12/10 now at Camping valdovino Acsi rate €18. Ok site with wild camping options nearby and another site nearby lagoa campsite open all year looked good (€22 inc ehu)
14/10 aire outside A Coruna levellers required but great location
15/10 Mordomo aire no services adjacent to beach. Satnav would take you along inaccessible roads. Tolls on route €2.50 service at Ponteceso good service point with dedicated taps for drinking and wc which is quite rare in Spain.
16/10 now at Fisterra aire 2 nights inc ehu €15. We like this aire and the coastline.
18/10 Now at the other aire in Boiro, the free one, we checked two others on route but they were not for us. 19/10 toll €1.70 now in a lay-by O Grove very quiet location good beaches.
20/10 plava praguiera camper stop €10 inc ehu very nice spot, quiet
21/10 Commercial aire Cangas area 2 nights €30 inc ehu. To be honest it didn’t really warrant €15 per night.
23/10 toll €1.70 now at Santa Tecla campsite €12 per night very good value. 5 nights €60
28/10 we leave Galicia and head into Portugal. If the weather is kind then Galicia is my favourite region in Spain.

Nice report Jamie/Amanda, would love to do that part too but your idea of early October is best to get kind weather for that leg.
Keep the updates coming, can’t wait to get out there too, we were due to sail this Wednesday (30th Oct) to Santander but we’ve had to put it back until 12th Nov unfortunately.
