If you go to Posada de Valdeon, and you should, contact Conchi Magdalena for a great taxi service to Cain de Valdeon and the start of the Cares Gorge walk. Her English is very good and she is full of information about the area. She made a couple of stops on the way up and showed us some interesting sites that we'd probably have missed if we were doing our own thing. She charges €20 each way and can take up to 6 passengers, that's €20 per trip, not per passenger.
