Well its not north France, Germany, The Netherlands or Belgium.
We just back from a 3 week trip. There wasn't an Irish reg seen after Caen until we return to Caen, 3 weeks later.

Sometimes you meet a few, other times you see no one, in the scheme of tourists in Europe there's not a lot of us

Most of the car families will go about a days drive from either of the port's, 6/8 hours .
After that its a big country .

Always plenty of Irish around St Jean de Monts or the Vendee in general. Also campsites with Eurocamp, Yelloh Village, Les Castels or any of the big names. Not than many motorhomers but mainly cars and those who fly.

In all our years traveling to France we have only come across a handful of Irish vans on Aires or sites we've been on. Plenty of cars particularly in Carnac and St Jean De Mont.

I think it also depends on the time of year. We have children in school so go away July and August so there's lots of other Irish families in the bigger bells and whistles campsites with both in motorhomes and also those staying in tents, caravans and mobiles. We've even met a few Irish motorhomers in aires (and their equivalent in Germany, Italy and Spain).
