I may visit Santiago on my Spanish travels and would like to hear from anyone who has visited in a motorhome. I'm looking for a campsite or safe aires within the city or a campsite outside the the city but on a regular bus service that will get me into the centre in under an hour. Anyone been there?

got an aire listed, Area del Santiago, Rua de Manuel Maria s/n Compostela Galicia 15-27-32-36. Watch out for them Pilgrims, Flipper, you could come back with sore knees !

We stayed in Camping As Canceles a couple of years ago, bus service not far from entrance. Camper Contact will give you all the details of the site, it also shows a number of Aires.

Thanks for the replies folks. The cathedral is undergoing repairs and renovations at the moment and all services are suspended. This includes the swinging of the incense burner which I've been wanting to see for the last 40+ years. I've decided to give it a miss this year. Hopefully I'll be back next year and see it in all it's glory without any scaffolding.
