Sitting in a van in the rain in Spain..

Well.got the ferry from cork to Santander two days ago.
Big discussion at home before we left was not to pack the van to the roof with stuff.
"Bring the jeans and fleece on you and it's all shorts and t shirts after that. you'll be putting the jeans and fleece back on, on the ferry home". I said......
Well....the rain and rain here in "sunny" Spain.
Stayed in the aire in Santander the first day and it was lovely.hot but I had the USB fans packed so sorted.
Went to bed and heard the slight patter of "the night dew"settling.
rain the following morning." An hour and then sunshine" I says to myself.....
Rain getting heavier.
By afternoon we left Santander and headed for Lourdes.we got as far as irun and decided to bed down on a retail park that camper contact said was popular for motorhomes...
All alone...
TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER.
woke up and the serious rain had turned torrential.headed for lourdes.the rain was a river flowing across the motorway as we crossed into France.
Made it to Lourdes and it hasn't rained in 20 minutes.

We actually got a text from mates of ours who were on the same sailing as you, and they expressed similar conditions since landing in Spain.

Head to the Costas.....My sister and brother in law have been there past 2 weeks with glorious sunshine everyday.

That must have been the same weather that stopped the Tour de France and they had snow/hail. Isn’t that the good thing about being mobile. Go to where the sun is.
