Cheap Diesel

Just A quick one, I have just filled up with Diesel in Luxembourg at a cost of 1.11euro a ltr. that is £1.00 a ltr.
Cheapest I have got for a long time.

It will be pretty much all of Luxembourg tax free very small country

At the moment we are in Saarburg, on the very edge but pretty much anywhere. We did see it in Italy at 1.94 but we decided to give it a miss.

Fuel prices are fixed in Luxembourg so are the same everywhere. Doesn’t matter if you go to the motorway services or to a local filling station.

Must have gone up since last Sunday as I only paid €1.09, now travelling up the Mosel and a bit of the Rhine but back in Luxembourg next weekend for the darts open so will get another fill before the run up to Calais.

We are, I think I remember Luxembourg gets more from Brussels per capita than any other country, even Ireland. Having said that, the city itself is worth a couple of days. Stay in a satellite town for free and get the train in. Cost us €4 for an all day ticket for all gov sponsored travel.

119.9c in Circle K on Kennelsfort road in Palmerstown yesterday, less 4c per litre with the fuel card made it 115.9c/l to fill up the car.
