Was in Dundalk this morning and saw an ADAC recovery van and trailer(both empty), van had german reg. Wonder what took them to Dundalk ?
Did anyone renew their policy with them recently and if so did you get a confirmation e-mail or receipt? I renewed mine and heard nothing since, think it was the same last year.

It must be an invasion! We were on the M50 at lunch time heading for Naas. We were surprised to find we were following a Super U white van rented from vierzon which is in the centre of France. He seemed to be heading south. Wonder did Super U know he was bringing it to Ireland.

hello
My ADAC is renewed automatically every year. I called them last year and they were very nice. Should you break down more than 50 from your home they said that they would come and get you home. I think there is an equivalent to a "fair usage policy" with them, Perhaps a visitor to our shores had broken down!

There was an ADAC van parked up on the quays outside the Guinness brewery in Dublin last night too. I was wondering what it could be doing here!

Was there motor racing on anywhere as they are a motor club and do sponsor race cars in various motorsports.
The have used the AA here to do their assist. I wounded if they have decided to have their own agent over here and have sent a unit over to be used.
If its a German service they may not have to change the reg.

I also saw one of them last Sunday on the M11 north bound didn't see the reg but noticed the logo, I just taught there must be a boat in Rosslare.

If it is the same vehicle, it might be repatriating a vehicle from the Continent

It’s attached to all the polish vehicles that were wandering around this last week. Saw it heading to Rosslare with all the campers and cars yesterday evening

Were they highly decorated old looking cars and small vans /camper's?
I saw several down at the hook last Tuesday, I didn't catch the reg plates one of then had an Irish flag across the booth, Looked like a vintage retro rally that would make sense as ADAC is a Motor Club.

There’s a German Classic Car Club touring Ireland at the moment. They have probably brought the Transporter as a back up.

That'd make sense alright. Saw about 6 of them around the lakes in Blessington on Wednesday. All heading in different directions, mind...

Saw 40 or 50 of them in Rosslare on Thursday evening and I assume they were boarding the ferry to France as we were although I didn't see them get off in Cherbourg.

https://zlombol.pl/

It's a charity car rally.
