As a few of you know and those who don’t ive just discovered a major problem on my camper the rear spar was rotting this was picked up when we went to look at other vans, the cause, the bumper is screwed ito the spar and over the years with washing and rain the damp has got in ,now thankfully it didn’t get up to the floor 👍so today after a great weekend in dunfanaghy and no drink yesterday I got down to work remove lights towbar bumper and old spar got a new stainless one folded and replaced resealed and put back together just finished half an hour ago, some picks and yes the screws are a bit long but it was the only stainless ones I had they will be replaced as soon as

put a new rubber seal along the bumper as well also which isn’t in the photos the rear is also sealed with rubber under body spray

A nice finish.
An unfortunate design flaw with chausson, which we were warned about when we purchased our mh.
It's recommended to replace the silicone between the walls and bumper/ side skirts every 5 years to prevent water damage.
