Going to post this photo as it was recently found and i love it.
Inside the Dalek is me, the guy acting Tom Baker is my brother Philip. It was a competition in primary school, we won nothing. The dalek that won was a big brown paper bag with two holes poked into it. But I'll explain...
The competition was set on a platform behind the school, it seemed 20 foot high then, but was probably 2 foot high, they couldn't lift my Dalek up, my Father spent nights in the garage making it, there was a tricycle for me to ride on inside it, both arms moved and the eyepiece at the top moved and I could cycle anywhere. I remember the first dog that seen us that day, it ran as fast as it could! I spent what seemed like years enjoying my Dalek:)
But, who can tell me what the top of it is made out of and where it cam from?
