Wing Mirror Talbot express

Hi,

I need to replace a cracked wing mirror (just the glass) on our talbot express, I would rather do it myself but before I start pulling things out, could anyone tell me if it's literally just a matter of getting in begind the glass and popping it of? and popping new mirror glass into place?

Otherwise it would need the whole mirror casing replaced.

Thanks
Dominic

If your mirror is held on by a rubber strip dip the rubber in boiling water to soften it before refitting,
When it cools down it goes stiff again.

Thanks guys,

Yeah it's just held on with a rubber strip,

So it's just a case of prying the mirror out, replace with new, boil rubber strip and re fit?

Yep,
Try local commercial truck garage for the mirror glass, usually on the shelf,

Mannions motor parts in Oranmore Galway is an example,
