New addition

I have been toying with the idea of changing the radio in the motorhome for sometime to something with CarPlay or android auto so all I had to do was plug the phone in, what a minefield, if you thought buying a motorhome was a difficult decision try picking a radio!

Anyhow I came across something which could save the hassle of trying to get a radio to work with steering wheel controls etc, I changed the central clipboard. Only those with a Ducato/Boxer X250/290 base will know what I am talking about. The one I have bought and fitted has the ability to hold either a phone or iPad securely which gives me a larger sat nav and access to Spotify etc to stream through the existing radio.

Cool, our central clip board doesn't lift. No one told me, the handle is no longer there. :-/

Got it off evil bay, it’s not cheap but a hell of a lot cheaper than a new radio. My clip board didn’t lift either so was useless at clipping anything to it as you couldn’t see it. Only have to sort out decent front cup/can holders now and the world will be at peace again 🤣

That's snazzy. :-)

Out of curiosity I had a look on youtube to see how it looked from other angles.
..
I found a "how to" install vid that might be of use to some of you.

pull out the radio, remove the radio cage, undo a couple of screws, refit the cage and radio. Bish bash bosh job done. You just need to use the two screw receptor things from the old one to allow it to be screwed down.
