This is what we are up against, the completely wrong definition of Motorhome Parking, the narrow mindedness of some of those posts, the lack of knowledge expressed.

this idiot is probably a hotel owner
Car/bike/walk + rucksac + hotel = relaxing holiday.

Forget sleeping in it with bikes locked on, they won’t be there when you wake up.

Doctors say the gassing stories are rubbish. Try telling my biking buddy that who woke up in his van feeling groggy with all the valuables gone. Neither he, his partner or their dog were woken despite the thing being throughly turned over – in Spain.

T’ain’t worth the hassle.

Edit, I forgot to mention the Ducato being seen a source of spare parts when it wasn’t being broken into.

I stopped off at Whiterocks beach for an hour after the Northwest 200 and stepped up into the dunes around one of the upper car parks to get a good panoramic photo and nearly stepped right on a baby wipe which had something that no baby could have left sitting in it.. 🤮. Glad the kids had not run into it. There was a car with 3 guys putting a tent away nearby and you can’t be sure it was them but either way it was someone without a toilet or able to wait until the toilet block opened. Could well be blamed on a motorhomer of course like rubbish in bins where day trippers visit.

There is a portion of campers which does not show up on the blame game by individuals or councils, that is the van camper,i.e. a couple of lads out for the weekend or a couple to attend a venue. They shove a mattress in the back of a van and can park anywhere and improvise for toilet arrangements. Have you seen how many bottles of orangeade that are in waste bins or lying on the ground, except it is far from mineral water. But the Motorhomers get the blame for all

A friend of mine, (yes, I have a friend), was warned at a music festival, (Ireland), that he couldn't come back next year as he had the Transit with a mattress in the back and about a dozen slabs of beer.

Read a few times that some of the guys with proper VW Transporter van conversions were refused access to some sites because they weren't "proper" Motorhomes despite having pop-tops, cookers etc.

I think everything he Say's about being broken into are probably spot on.
If I met up with him a few times and had to listen to his negative moaning I'd chip if there was a croud fund organise to get someone to follow him around to keep breaking in just to get rid of him, :o O-)
