Hi there!
I have just joined motorhome craic, thanks for having me!
We are planning our first trip to Donegal at the end of the month, I was just wondering about breaking up the trip, has anyone any advice on places to stop halfway for a night?
Thank you.

Hi Dennis, quite a few nice stops..... If it’s a site your looking for then Lough Kee forest park outside Boyle in Roscommon is a nice stop.
There is tons of stops in between too, the Beach bar at Aughris is a nice stop but maybe too far north for you.
I recommend you get the app if you haven’t already at www.motorhomeparkingireland.com where lots and lots of options to choose from... it’s worth it’s weight in gold !
Enjoy the trip.

We went from Tipperary to Donegal two years ago and stayed overnight at loughree east campsite Athlone, it has discounted prices for Mhc Club members.

Are you a member if you are merely registered here?

Or is there a premium to be paid for that privilege?
