Replace mushroom vent - which sealer?

Need to replace mushroom vent as top has broken off.
I have no idea what the previous vent was fixed with, whether adhesive product or a non-setting sealer - will find that out later :(. Anyhow, following some searches my head now completely pickled as to what I should use to seal the new one. Should I use those mastic sealing strips and attempt to make a circle shaped seal rather than one of the variations of silaflex (which folk say I will never get off again)? Am very basic DIYer.
Thanks in advance!

I would use either of these...

Sikaflex
Soudaseal

Or my new favourite:

RV61

Are any of those easy to remove should the need arise?

Easy? hmm I have removed all three in the past. Sharp blade and a bit of work, but I don't find it difficult. However they won't come off without a bit of work.

Local hardware shop only had Gripbond Pro, but none of the others you listed.
Its described as "GB PRO White Polymer Adhesive Sealant Super strong adhesive sealant Incredibly high grab / tack Non shrinking and over paintable Can be applied to wet surfaces A high modulus sealant and adhesive. A totally neutral "hybrid" sealant for use in areas requiring a tough elastic rubber joint or as an adhesive with superior bonding strength. Conforms to ISO11600-F&G-20HM. For interior and exterior applications in all weather conditions. Remains permanently flexible. Can be over-painted with water-based paints. Non staining and will not discolour surfaces (excellent for use on natural stone). Contains no isocyanates, solvents, silicone and phthalates. Resistant to UV radiation, water (including seawater), mould and chlorine. Excellent adhesion to most surfaces (even moist surfaces). Wet on wet application. No odour. Suitable for use on : Brick Plastic Wood Metal Glass GRP Porcelain Polystyrene PVC Mirror Painted surfaces"

Would that be any good?

I've seen it done with that, not something I have experience off.

Over the years I’ve used sikaflex. I put on a 5.5m awning and sikaflexed everything before fitting. The holes, the screws the washers and the nuts. 14 years later still no leaks

I can’t see what would be wrong with it. The most important thing in my view is that both surfaces are spotlessly clean and dry. You aren’t talking about a big area with a mushroom vent.
