You’re better not knowing but it was a disgrace and has ruined it now for the rest of us. Some folk should not be allowed near a Motorhome never mind drive one or use it overnight.

Don’t have any first hand info on this.

I was told by a Dutch motorhomer that there is a secure parking area behind the Regency (now Bonnington) hotel in Drumcondra. Apparently there is 24 hour security, overnighting is allowed. AFAIR the cost was €10 for overnight. Car park not associated with hotel????

Had a look on Street view, there is a car park there and can see an entrance from the road just past the hotel. Looks like a ticket machine type barrier.

if you can park in the regency that has buses passing outside and its only 15 to 20 mins into town. If not, there are 2 places in Rush at the moment.
The strand bar on main street, free parking and all services. Just have a couple of pints in the bar, and introduce yourself. The owner is Joe Sherman.
Otherwise its the north beach caravan park, about25/30 euro a night.

Sorry to go off topic. I've just verified with the Bonnington Hotel that motorhome parking is available for €9 per night. Great safe central location for Dublin City Centre or the airport with buses to each outside, buses to (or within walking distance of) Croke Park for gigs or matches. Sent it to Ally to put on the app.

When I spoke to the Bonnington Hotel they told me that the parking is managed on their behalf by an external company who have no issue with motorhomes parking there- once they're just parked up and appropriate fee was paid. I hope this wasn't abused as this was only a few weeks ago.
Did they say it was just because of the concert?

Bonnington removed from App, someone else tried to use it and were refused. Maybe you could ring them again Adi?

Hello
Just to be clear The Carpark at the Bonnington Dublin Hotel is for Hotel Guests and customers of our Leisure Club, Bar & Restaurant. We do not allow parking overnight of Motorhomes for non-residents.
Unfortunately it appears there is a lot of misinformation being posted in this regard by people not associated with the Hotel.
Regards
Bonnington Dublin Hotel

Make your mind up, is it for guests and customers or for residents?

If it's just for residents, is the car park full all the time? Or are you turning away business?

The only misinformation being posted was by quoting your staff. Once we were informed you were being short sighted and turning away business you were removed from our app. Maybe you didn't read what you were replying too?
