Brilliant. Unlike Wexford. The clowns in our council seem intent on keeping tourists out. They also built a big wide slipway, in place of an old awkward one. Was great the first couple of months. Loads of activity at it, then they got the great idea of putting a barrier across it and make everyone pay. When people didn’t and started using the old American sea plane one, they built a wall across that one. Now Wexford, a maritime town has only one public slipway and it’ll cost you €20 to use it, or €100 a year. Cretins. Very seldom you see anybody on it now. Also the Welsh anglers don’t come to Wexford anymore for their annual trip. I heard they go to Arklow now 🤬

I wonder have they taken away the disabled parking at this spot to provide the campervan parking,or have they relocated the disabled parking to another area.Anyone local know ?

It will be a lottery to get one of those five bays during the summer months, anyone know is there a mechanism to stop people from taking a weeks holiday there when they finally secure one?
We were in Tramore yesterday and two of the spaces were occupied by campers, the other three were not available due to cars being parked in the designated spaces. This will most likely be the problem going forward.

I think you are right Derek, an imposed €10 parking would probably solve that.

Maybe it shared between cars and motorhomes like the parking in Newcastle? Marked as motorhomes but cars can park in them anytime really? E-charge points are for electric cars only and there are penalties attached but I often see petrol or diesel cars sitting in them.

In my town, Portlaoise, should I choose to park in an designated spot, ie. disability or taxi rank, I would be hit with a €60 fine.
A couple of those fines, and car drivers would cop on pretty quickly.
