Finally got this little unit fitted. Controller for fan fitted to help fridge to operate better in warm weather. Got the idea from previous posts on here, thanks lads, just took it another step. You can set the the switch on and off temperature and it has a probe to read the temperature at the fins. Working well so far. Bigger test to come in the heat in France or Spain next month

Might be better doing it yourself Ally. Since I retired it's hard to get a good one around these parts. :P

Ooh, I’ll have to have a look. I got it about Christmas time, so can’t remember. Was eBay anyway, and cost about €6
Maybe search temperature control switch

Fair play! That’s a bit more sophisticated than my fridge’s auxiliary fan controller ( see below ).

Does the same job though.
Those dark wet winter evenings have a lot to answer for.
Tidy little gadget, but I had to fabricate the enclosure. I couldnt find a spot where I was happy to make a cut out in the camper. Once you cut it, it’s cut forever. It was too awkward to wire it back to where main control panel is, and a bit tight for space too.

It can be most of the fridges work on air cooling the fins at the back, so if the weather is very hot it helps to move more air in the bottom vent and out trough the top. So fitting one or two slim fans on the back of the top vent helps pull more air trough .
And how you control that is what you see in the photo.
The was a post about it last year.

In September it probably won’t be too hot, so your fridge should work with a reasonable level of efficiency. It’s like a lot of these bits we add. They all help a little, but you can manage without most of them. Having said that, warm milk on your cereal is a major no no for me 🤨

In my case it's white wine, beer, gin and chili chocolate.
