A friend in work (NI) said he got got a very good quote from Peter Best Insurance recently. Never heard of them myself but worth adding to the list perhaps. Seems a bit like Adrian Flux at first glance.

Website seems to be: https://www.classiccarinsurance.co.uk/

I’ve been with Just Kampers two years in a row. Best price for a “more mature” camper by a long shot.

My normal company Kerr put the insurance up again, we were paying £340.00 in the good old days pre pandemic, over the last two years it went up to £365.00 and then this year they were looking £400.00. So we through caravanguard told them about Motorhome craic, got the 10% off and then some. Now back down to £345.00 Full cover with breakdown.

Not bad craic!

Pleasantly surprised Dolmen have not increased their prices much this year.
Just renewed for £232 including breakdown cover and £500 excess plus a discount for ICCC members.

No NCB with Dolmen, breakdown cover isn't great, the cover isn't as good as caravan guard. They won't give MHCC discount.
Can stick it where the sun don't shine.

What is the value of their breakdown cover,?
I presume they are still brokering for Aviva.

I had to use AIB Insurance (Airsports Insurance Bureau) in Bournemouth as they give enough cover for the Hymer windscreen, around £2000 - £2500 including breakdown & eu cover £430 with disclosure of being driven into by third party in 2019.

I've been with Stewarts, now Arachas, for the last 12 years, the price has always been much the same. With regard to breakdown, I had to use it a few years back, they were on it straight away and followed us to the ferry to make sure we made it. I found them very helpful and efficient.
The windscreen cover is unlimited, which I'm glad of seeing as my screen is huge, would have to come from America and wouldn't be cheap...

I was interested if they were offering any more than the €500 towing charge they do down here.
Dolmen ( axa) figure is €650.

You can get it for longer continuous holidays as an add on. I had it with Vhi for up to 60 days on one holiday and up to 180 days through out the year.
