20 motorhomes parking in Glenarm Easter Saturday for free. Beautiful spot, love Glenarm.

How many visited the bar?

No, only the ones in the bar were. 👍

That’s ridiculous. What is wrong with people. A coffee or mineral wouldn’t break the bank for anyone

I’ll be up there for the Dalriada Festival this year - staying in the Festival grounds. There were a good few parked in the harbour area last year but I’ve never stayed there myself.

Thanks Petie for that we would hope to go. Does one need to book for the camping Park?

Weekend camping tickets are available through their website. www.dalriadafestival.co.uk

There was a slight discount for booking by the end of April but not much in it. The field for camping/caravans/motorhomes is right beside the main entrance. A handy outdoor kitchen for washing dishes and somewhere to empty black waste. Plenty of people had awnings up too. Caravans especially. I would bring a bike for nipping into town in the evenings.

Nothing in the village now except the two pubs, the shop had to close. Not helped by tightwads not spending in the village.

That’s a pity the shop had to close as it was very handy. I always made sure I bought stuff when I was there.

It angers me some people are so tight, if you cant afford to go to the bar then go and park somewhere else and stop taking the p***. Another stopover that will be ruined by tightwads. Some motorhomers are seriously their own worst enemy, when the height barriers go up they'll be crying about their civil rights. I wish those people would sell their vans.

Make everyone pay a tenner and put the money into the local community because letting them park for free doesn't seem to work <_<

I was wondering why I could not find a shop in it last year during the Festival. I cycled out of the festival campsite and all round the town and could not find one. I lost count of the number of motorhomes parked in the car parks near the water. 30 or so maybe.

If you go up the street past the 2 pubs there is a craft shop on the corner that sells fresh bread and homemade jams. You can also get a cup of coffee there.
