Local elections 2019

The local elections in ROI are in full swing with candidates and their canvassers actively knocking on doors.
Can all members of this forum please bring to their attention of the need to develop more Motorhome overnight parking throughout your county?
For those counties who have some facilities, lobby for further expansion of services.
Use the example of Cobh as a successful template.
Many thanks.

I suggest we all turn up to vote in our motorhomes...... candidates are often on site canvasing, so it's a good opportunity to bring the subject up!

And if it's raining, invite them in for a cup of tea and maybe they can see the benefits of motor homing :-)

The candiates supporters usually hang out in a caravan outside my local polling station so they are more into caravans than motorhomes but you could use it as a chance to explain the differing requirements maybe 🙄. You could carry a lot more flyers and sample prefilled voting slips in a big Motorhome garage for example.

They are not allowed do that now down here .
Its against the law to canvas or have posters with 150 mtrs of a pooling station. The second last election I had the Garda on duty close my local one for business until someone removed posters ,the Guy in charge was rightly pissed he had to go out and remove them himself.

It’s the first election I’ve been sitting in the hall waiting on them calling, plus I have emailed them all in my area looking for their opinion, of course I have had a lot of promises of support, we will see
