Hello everyone,

We are a family based in Oxford, UK, and we are planning to take everyone - mum, dad, 4 year old boy and 3 month old girl to Ireland in June. We are taking advantage of the time before our son is locked into school holidays only!

We have always wanted to visit, and plan to go from Fishguard to Rosslare and then wind our way up the south and west coast. So I guess we'll be on the 'Wild Atlantic Way'.

I found this site because we were planning to stay on camp sites, bit I wanted to check out the possibility of doing at least some wild camping. We have a vw T25 high top, so some showers and washing machines would be good now and then, but we'd really like to spend time off the beaten track where possible.

So that's us. Nice to find a place dedicated to Irish motorhoming 😀

Get yourself the Motorhome parking Ireland APP you will find probably everything you want, do a bit of loose planning with the time you have, then come back with a bit of an itinerary and ask any questions you need answering
The best thing is don't try to do too much

Thanks for the advice, I've downloaded the app and found park4night which seems to cover my local area too - really interesting to see all the spots I think of as quiet car parks morphing into good places to stay the night!

Appreciate the advice not to try to cram too much in - we are probably going four weeks, that seems like a long time probably isn't as long as I think!

I'll enjoy working on our itinerary and post it once it's sort of stabilised :-)
