Strandcamping Doonbeg is closed tonight Friday 26 April as Clare is now subject to a red weather warning.
Very sorry for the inconvenience but quite simply your safety has to come first.

Very wise move. We were at Clifden ECO Campsite, Galway last night. 40mph winds and a bumpy night. Due 60mph tonight, so we moved inland to Cong. Hoping for a good nights sleep. Stay safe everyone.

Batten down the hatches! I've noticed the wind has just started to pick up a bit here in Cork over the last 20 minutes or so, so I guess the fringes of the storm have arrived...

The West coast supposed to be in for a right battering...

Stay safe everyone!

One simple thing to remember in these conditions, park your van nose into the wind if you can and you should have maximum stability.
