Looks more and more like the 2500 watt inverter is the way to go, the Dometic/Waeco seem to be quite expensive any other brands worth a look at, and before you say it "you get what you pay for" any leads would be much appreciated
My waeco is my 300 watt inverter, used for laptops, phones etc, my 2500 watt inverter is off Ebay and was £100, not pure sine wave but does hairdryers, straighteners and microwave. Have only used the microwave twice, don't have one now.
I don't know enough to say whether a microwave could be destroyed by a non pure sinewave.
