I just wait until it runs out and carry a spare 6kg propane. Once my main holiday is over I hook the bottle up to the house and use it up. It means I always have full bottles when I start the holiday. In winter I carry 2 x 13kg and 1 x 6 kg, haven’t ran out yet

I watched with interest until he threw away the first one and mentioned £50. I,ll continue waiting until the hob goes out to know the bottles empty. We usualy have 24 hrs notice as the burner starts to smell when using the last bit of gas
On my one the heater won't work, so change over bottles.

The most accurate way is a tip from Mr Tommy S from a year ago.
Remove your nearly empty cylinder and pour a cup of hot water over it. The empty space will evaporate while below the gas line is wet.
We have only room for one propane cylinder, so I have to be on the ball in managing the cylinder.
