I'm putting on the iron collar ( in case someone tries to cut my head off ) but if they were a family with children, and they certainly did a neat job of parking their vehicle in the correct spot for family's and as there was no one parked in the other bays.what would the law say?
If I arrived with my family and saw that, I would park in the next bay and hope someone did the same at the other end ( and then sit back and get a coffee or maybe dinner and see what happened.

Please consider if it is a person with say a handicapped child and a few others ,the the nearer they can get the better. So until somebody sees who exits or returns to the van, then hand out the punishment and quite rightly so.
The reason those 'mother & child' parking bays are provided is is to give extra space for doors to be fully opened to facilitate the lifting out of child seats and getting children into buggies etc. without the need for parents to go to the back or front of the vehicle and be in danger from passing traffic.
It bugs me when I see people with no need for extra space using those bays.
As for the person with the mh, google maps shows that there are better options, but maybe the driver was just lazy and wanted to be as close as possible to the door.

I've driven my van into a supermarket car park and left again simply because there was nowhere I could park. Luckily I wasnt stuck for the thing I needed and I got it a little further on the road. I can imagine with a few grumpy and hungry children in the back I might have been less flexible!

People pull this kind of crap all the time, but I love it how it makes the news when it's a campervan.
I literally see this on a daily basis, it's like people just get out of their cars while it's still running and the car just stops wherever, just walk away.. It'll only be 5 minutes.

Like someone taking a load of stuff to a till and then saying they forgot something and disappear back round the shop to get more things while the till operator and everyone in the queue waits..only 2 minutes..

When I was in Florida ,I noticed a lot of cars parking diagonaly across two spaces ,when I asked why, the answer made sense. A lot of women drive large 4x4s and pickups ( ukes if you are in Aus ) and when they arrive in the parking spot they push the big doors open with their feet with no regard for anyone parked next to them. The home of Supermarket Ding !

Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos but I went to Lidl 3 times in Lagos Portugal where they had 4 bays dedicated to MHs but every time I went there 2 cars were were parked in the MH bays.
