Staying in Alvor again tonight this is the third time this trip and I’ve been here every year for the last 5 years in the motor home.
If you’re ever in the area it’s worth a stop. There is an aire €4.50 or €7 with ehu but the surface is red mud if there has been any rain in the last month, a place for about 15 MHs alongside beach bars with great views and under the palms outside the aire (40 MHs) this where I tend to stay, next to the long sandy beach, dogs allowed on the beach and boardwalks for miles.
There is also a campsite but I’ve not used it so I cannot comment on it.
Next to me is an indoor pool €3.50 for a swim. There is a laundry about 10 minutes walk with 18kg machines. At least 3 Indian restaurants, 7 Irish bars although they are about as Irish as me.
2 bars that sell a pint of lager for 99c.
The aire also allows service only for €2/3.
All in all a great stopover for a few nights or longer.
