Drive with your gas on

Being discussed on another site and it seems a very high percentage drive their Motorhomes with their fridge on Gas. I turn mine off and always thought the fridge flame would blow out when travelling. Obviously there are safety issues with leaving it on and having an accident, but how dangerous is it?

What do you do?

Do Propane tanks explode?

I put mine on auto, when the engine is off it switches to run on gas and with engine on it runs on 12v. Plug it in on a site and 240V overides both and runs on mains electrickery

DRIVE SURE gas regulator at gas bottle,if mh gets a shunt or in a accedent it automatically shuts the gas flow of from bottles.

Our Gaslow system has one the valve/regulators fitted which allows you to drove with the gas bottles on and will shut down on impact.
Same thing Ian is talking about...
No idea what the correct name is but I am sure Simon at LTS could keep you right..

We leave one botle on while driving but fridge is on Auto so it selects the most suitable fuel.

I don't have an auto function, be nice to be able to leave it on Gas as the fridge on 12volt doesn't really cool, just about keeps the temp.

That looks very like the one in our van.
I see it says it cannot be retrofitted.

It's the one in mine so probably yours too Mark, there is a dual one which doesn't say it can't be retro fitted
