I have a Topaz fuel card which gets 4c off per litre at Topaz/Circle K. Cheapest Circle K without going too far out of my way on the way home yesterday was 135.7c so filled up at 131.7c.

My idea was to monitor the price country by country, not local prices.
I thought it would be useful when, for example, heading from Roi to NI or RoI to France, or France to Spain, etc. etc. and vice versa

For example, filling up in Luxembourg where the price is about €1.09 /ltr could save over €24 against the cost of a fill in France at the moment. And that's a lot of beer or wine.

Russia and Iran and OPEC have made peace today and are cutting back production so this means prices going up, so if you need central heating or a stocking up now the time to buy

I would say they were Apple green at that price they gave 5 cents a litre of yesterday so they would be back up by 5c today

Today, the supermarket price in the Manche area (Cherbourg peninsula) is €1.41 give or take a cent.
So, for anyone heading that direction, fill up before you go.

Well it looks like the recent move by Opec has stopped the decline in forecourt prices. So wherever you get your fuel in europe, it seems the only way forward is up...

There is a yard in Kilternan that provides campervan and truck storage, They have diesel pumps there and the rate is been set at €1.23 for the past six months and I am told there is no plans to increase. They are rapid delivery pumps to (for filling trucks), So it only takes about 30 or 40 seconds to fill!

It's one of those card pay systems like you see at a service station, So simply pop the card, enter your pin and away you go! There is no minimum delivery either which is great! Yard is open daily from 10am to 6pm, If the gate is closed there is a number to call and they will open it remotely. You can even go in on a Sat or Sun

I know we want cheap diesel but quality has to come into it. I left my Peugeot Expert in for its usual service and when I came back my mechanic had 2 plastic pint glasses one with fresh diesel and the other had come out of my car. The second one was milky colour which I couldn’t see through and in the bottom of the glass was a dark substance that looked like treacle. I had been buying the diesel about 4p cheaper per litre from one garage. it could have wrecked my engine eventually. I only buy my diesel from a recognised dealer now

I always use as far as I v-can BP Ultimate and although it’s more expensive I reckon I get more MPG than any of the others. It’s the old story, one gets what they pay for.

Currently about €1.34 in supermarkets in France. Friends who have just arrived from Spain say the price is in the region of €1.06 there.
