We went for a drive in the car yesterday, doing a lap of Lough Derg, Co.Clare. What a beautiful day for it. We used the Motorhome parking App to direct us to most of the places we stopped at. One of our favourite stops during the spin was at Williamstown harbour. I must update the app later with some comments. I took a few pics of Williamstown as we were smitten with the place.
It was just a chill place to stop at. Sheltered parking, great views, tidy parking area, several walking areas for the dogs to do their thing, and some basic Waterways Ireland facilities. If we had deckchairs with us I recon we'd have stayed a lot longer. The only downside is the narrow approach road. It would be a bit more challenging for wider vehicles. It didn't have many pull-in areas to pass oncoming traffic, but headroom was fine (no overhanging trees or height barriers).
Terryglass was lovely too, as was Killaloe.
